It's About Time...

Welcome to the Busch family blog!  I was inspired to start this blog over a year ago (thanks to our good friends Alison and Jeff Francis!), but I have finally settled in and am ready to give it a whirl!  I realize I am 2 1/2 years behind in documenting the fun and growth of our little boy, Clay, but I guess I have to start somewhere.  Our little bundle of joy entered the word on September 16, 2010 at 6:55 p.m., and our lives have been a whirlwind of fun ever since!  Here are a couple of scenes from the first six weeks of life...

Let's fast forward to the 1 year mark...

And now we are here in 2013!  A few quick notes about Clay:
  • He is a VERY happy and social little guy!  He talks to everyone, and can make anyone laugh within seconds!  He regularly waves, blows kisses, and flirts with passersby in the grocery store, servers at restaurants, neighbors - everyone!  He is always smiling, usually with something on his mind.  One of his favorites sayings is, "Mom, I got an idea!"  You can guess the rest...
  • He LOVES anything that has to do with cows and farming!  Go figure, right?  Dan taught him to distinguish between cows and bulls before his first birthday, and he frequently accompanies his uncles and Papa Busch in chasing cows.  He recently had a chance to make friends with a new calf.

  • Clay also recently reignited his passion for baseball.  We are working on basketball (hoping for a future Tiger forward), but baseball is his priority for the moment.  Nana and Papa Blossom gave him bat and baseball for Easter, and he is really doing well at hitting a short pitch!  More photos to come of that...

Here are just a couple of my recent favorites pictures.  As you can see, life is never dull in the Busch household!

I believe that's all for this first post.  Thank you so much for being a part of our lives, and hopefully I can keep this up every now and then!  Please don't expect weekly posts, but perhaps a monthly post is a more attainable goal.  Dan and I are very blessed to each other, our wonderful families and friends, and the amazing little boy who is the light of our world!  Until next time...
